Volunteering for Peace members are participating at the Youth Exchange One of Us in partnership with YOUTH EMPOWERMENT CENTRE in Malta.
PARTICIPANTS; 4 E.U. COUNTRIES AND 4 EURO-MED COUNTRIES (3 PAX PER COUNTRY)
TARGET GROUP; YOUTH LEADERS, YOUTH WORKERS AND TRAINERS
AIM; ‘A PROJECT WRITTEN WITH ONE THING IN MIND; TO HELP OUT YOUTH WORKERS SO THAT THEY WILL BE ABLE TO WORK BETTER WITH YOUNSTERS OF LESSER OPPORTUNITY BACKGROUNDS; SO THAT THEY MAY FEEL TO BE ‘ONE OF US’!
OBJECTIVES;
a) To give a global view of all of the seven types of exclusion and their presence in our societies
b) To equip youth leaders, workers and trainers with new methodologies and tools
c) To learn of examples of good practice
d) To live and learn in a multi-national, multi-cultural society for a week
e) To improve one’s cooperative and contributing skills in a team
f) To create projects with persons of different backgrounds
g) To learn how non-formal education methods and the youth in action programme contributes wholly towards reducing exclusion and racism
